WE ARE IN EXCITING DAYS AT TNC!!!  The Leadership Team unanimously approved to ask New Church Specialties to come and do a Full Church Assessment for our church (see attachments).  We believe that this will help us fulfill our Mission Statement as we move into God’s desired future for us:

“To glorify God by reflecting the love of Jesus Christ, our Savior,

To our families, community, and world through a holy life style,

empowered by the Holy Spirit to lead the lost to salvation,

and to nurture all to the fullness of Christ.”

 

“The NCS assessment is designed to give a clear picture of the local church’s current reality to help determine how to best move into God’s desired future.  The report areas of assessment are: 

·         Church Health (using Natural Church Development),

·         Life Cycle Evaluation,

·         Core Value Audit,

·         Governing Board Audit,

·         Leadership Evaluation,

·         Attitude Evaluation,

·         Statistical Analysis (includes Worship Attendance, Giving, Small Group Involvement, and Membership),

·         Worship Evaluation,

·         Facility Evaluation, and

·         Demographical Summary.

NCS will provide a summary of conclusions and specific recommendations for the future.  The NCS consultant will provide a detailed report (usually about 40-50 pages) of the on site visit.  The report will contain a conclusion of the church’s current reality and identify the next steps for the church to begin to move into the future.”

 

The consultant will also be able to compare the results of TNC on a Natural Church Development Survey taken by us in July of 2005.  We will be able to know where we have improved and where we need help in the Mission of TNC.
